Marketing Campaign Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Campaign specialist to join our marketing team. The role offers room for development in the fast growing company, with plenty of variation, all the while tackling the climate crisis.

We are looking for somebody with a well established marketing skill set and can demonstrate real world experience planning, executing and reporting on multi-channel marketing campaigns. Prolectric is the UK’s leading expert on sustainable, off-grid, temporary and permanent solar lighting, solar hybrid power generators and solar mobile CCTV systems.

We are at the forefront of solar technology, with our products being used throughout the construction, infrastructure and rail sectors. Our culture is built around corporate social responsibility, being one one of few UK companies to hold a gold CSR accreditation and a Queens Award for Sustainable Development. The role offers the opportunity for two days of paid volunteer work per year and even a day off for your birthday.

Key responsibilities in the role:

  • Supporting our core KPIs by planning and managing our marketing campaigns across integrated channels including PPC, display, social media, digital, print, events, website, OOH.
  • Leading on campaign delivery, ensuring creativity is consistent and performance is optimised.
  • Manage campaign data and follow up with detailed analysis and reporting, whilst measuring ROI and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Optimise future campaigns based on those findings for improved performance.
  • Managing media schedules.
  • Working closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure financial management of digital media and production budgets.
  • Managing relationships with external agencies and suppliers.
  • Other responsibilities will include day to day administration work together with maintaining and improving regular daily, weekly and monthly reports and automating where possible.

Skills, knowledge and competencies required:

  • You will be an experienced marketer - used to planning, managing, and executing integrated campaigns, reporting on outcomes and acting on insight.
  • You can plan an end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • You’ll be able to take a brief, think about what steps, people and resources you need to put in place to deliver against the brief.
  • You’ll have experience in identifying target audience segments, and devising campaigns and content to engage them.
  • You’ll be able to brief and oversee the work of third parties (web developers, designers, copywriters etc).
  • You’ll have experience with analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics)
  • Experience with paid advertising platforms (linkedIn Ads, Google PPC etc) is highly desirable.

Business Development Manager - Hybrid Power

Offering huge savings in both fuel costs and CO2 carbon emissions the products are in a rapid growth phase.

The Role:

Due to further increasing demand Prolectric have an exciting opportunity to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing sales of our Hybrid Power generators in the North of the UK. The role is field based, you will liaise closely with existing customers and responsible for developing sales with new customers. The role will include product demonstrations and presentations to customers.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

  • To manage and be responsible for all sales activities in the north of the UK that relate to the Hybrid power generators
  • To be responsible for the development and growth of new customer accounts
  • Be a first-class company Ambassador
  • Demonstrate exceptional, industry leading levels of customer support, listening to the needs of customers, and delivering service which meets their needs and exceeds their expectations
  • Present clearly the unique selling points of using Hybrid power generators versus diesel generators
  • Conduct site surveys and work closely with the Prolectric design team to provide detailed designs for the client
  • Covering the UK, there will be some overnights as required.

Skills, knowledge and competencies required:

  • The successful candidate is commercially astute, boasting a successful career of achievement in sales, business development and/or account management roles.
  • Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
  • A collaborative working style, that enjoys an open culture with competitive drive.
  • A good understanding of the Hybrid power industry and any experience in Hybrid generators or renewable energy would be very beneficial but not necessarily essential
  • Experience selling into end users and rental companies is desirable.
  • Self-motivated with a hardworking and proactive approach.
  • Outgoing personality, with a team player mentality.
  • Good level of numeracy, comfortable with Microsoft Office (e.g. email), planning and presenting.
  • Results driven and a good negotiator.

Business Development Manager - South

The Role:

Since 2011, Prolectric has installed many thousands of our award winning solar streetlights across the UK and due to further increasing demand Prolectric has an exciting opportunity to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing sales in the South of the UK. The role is field based and will see you working closely with existing customers (e.g. Local Authorities, National Housebuilders, Government and major construction organisations) and developing sales relationships with new customers.

Main duties and Responsibilities:

  • To manage and be responsible for all sales activities in the South, for permanent fixed solar street lighting products
  • To be responsible for the development and growth of new customer accounts
  • Be a first-class company Ambassador
  • Demonstrate exceptional, industry leading levels of customer support, listening to the needs of customers, and delivering service which meets their needs and exceeds their expectations.
  • Present clearly the unique selling points of installing solar street lights versus mains powered street lights (training will be provided)
  • Conduct site surveys and work closely with the Prolectric design team to provide detailed lighting designs for the client

Skills, knowledge and competencies required:

  • The successful candidate is commercially astute, boasting a successful career of achievement in sales, business development and/or account management roles.
  • Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
  • A collaborative working style, that enjoys an open culture with competitive drive.
  • Understanding of the permanent lighting industry and/or experience in solar lighting or renewable energy is beneficial, but not essential (full training will be provided).
  • Experience selling into house builders or Councils is desirable.
  • Self-motivated with a hardworking and proactive approach.
  • Outgoing personality, with a team player mentality.
  • Good level of numeracy, comfortable with Microsoft Office (e.g. email), planning and presenting.

Electronics & Firmware Engineer

The Product Development team drives innovation within the company, keeping abreast of emerging technologies and delivering cost effective sustainable products with real world applications and impact.

The team are looking to expand our in-house skill base within the electronics, firmware & embedded software disciplines. The role will be varied and you will gain experience across the whole product development process including project management, prototyping, manufacture, customer support and fleet performance feeding into continual product improvement.

Initial Projects:

  • Designing electronic circuits, PCBs for prototypes, and fully developed products in communication and control areas i.e., relay control box, fuel cell control module
  • Writing embedded control firmware for our existing IoT portal ensuring that software is delivered following a robust design, development and validation process
  • Developing new control firmware for an IoT project utilizing CAN bus, Modbus, RS485 & RS232 communication protocols
  • Debugging system firmware for systems in a real-world environment including writing test scripts
  • Support for the above (day to day maintenance, inputs to training, documentation etc.)
  • Inputs to other development projects, not necessarily software related

Essential skills in the first instance include:

  • Experience in writing C code for microcontrollers, alongside a proven track record of developing, delivering and documenting firmware projects
  • Communication protocol knowledge
  • PCB design

Desirable other skills include:

  • Tools including but not limited to; Autodesk Eagle, Gerbers, git
  • Capability of delivering work packages on time and to commercial and technical requirement
  • Hands-on experience with tools/practical skills

 

Job type: Full time, Permanent

Salary: £25k to £35k (depending on experience).

We anticipate that the successful candidate may be a recent graduate, or graduate with 1-5 years of experience in a relevant field. It is accepted that there may be some learning on the job. Above all, we are seeking an individual with creative flair, capacity to learn, and a passion for excellence, who can deliver in the context of an exciting, growing business environment.
